Can I cancel my membership? Is the service really free? Yes. We believe the public should be aware that selling, buying, hiring and finding a job online can be free. What's in it for ademand.com? You have probably heard there is no such thing as a free lunch. We make our money from 3rd party advertisers. You may see their advertisements in your search results among other locations. Does ademand.com plan on ever charging advertisers? We hope not. However, if our fight against spam becomes intolerable we may begin charging a small fee for advertising. How do I search for an item or service? You can use the search box in the top left corner of the main page or use our advanced search page to find the item or service you need. Do I have to register in order to contact a seller, buyer or employer? No. Simply use the contact link located at the top-right corner of the advertisement. How can I contact an advertiser? When viewing an advertisement, you are presented with a link "contact buyer", "contact seller", or "contact employer". This link will either take you to a page with further instructions or to a page where you will be asked for your email, subject of your message and the message itself. In the second case, ademand.com will send the message to the advertiser on your behalf. The advertiser will reply to you on his/her discretion. What is that "research" box on the main page? We record the searches performed on our website and allow users to tap into that information for free. You may research keywords and discover their popularity, which is a good indicator of market demand. How do I register? On our registration page you will be prompted for your email, handle and password. After submitting this information, you will be a registered member. However, in order to post advertisements you must verify your email address. How do I verify my email address with ademand.com? After registration, you will receive a verification email. In the email you will find a link back our website. Clicking on the link will verify that you received the email, and therefore your email address must be valid. Your email address is verified! Is my personal information secure? Yes. The only information we collect are email addresses of our members. This is the absolute minimum needed in order to connect sellers with buyers, and employers with job candidates. We do not give or sell email addresses to any third party. What are the membership fees? Membership at ademand.com is free. How do I post an advertisement? First, you must log in with your handle and password. Then, at the top-right corner you will see the link "my ads" which will take you to your ads overview page. There, you may preview your ads, post new ads, modify ads and delete them. Specify the type of ad you wish to create, fill our the form and you're done! Posting a basic ad is free, and the extra services such as featured ads come at a reasonable price. Is there a limit on the number of advertisements I post? No. There is also no limit on the number of free advertisements you post. May I post spam? Absolutely not. We do not tolerate spam and will remove your advertisement and terminate your membership immediately. We consider spam to be "get rich quick schemes", "business opportunities", "diet pills" and more. If you are unsure if your advertisement will be illegal or spam, we encourage you to contact us first. Can my advertisement include images? Yes. Currently, you may include four images with your ad for free. The images must be smaller than 512kb in total and the jpeg (or jpg) format is highly recommended. We do not promise other formats will be presented properly. Can I modify my advertisement after posting it? Yes. Simply click [modify] located next to your advertisement title in your ad overview page. You may change the title, description and many other details. For how long will my advertisement be active? Ten days. How will readers respond to my advertisement? Readers may contact you through ademand.com by providing their email, message subject and a message. They will never be given your handle or email address. You will receive their messages via email. Advanced users may provide a web location such as a checkout page or further information page where readers should be sent. You may enter a web location in the "Contact via Web" box when you create your advertisement. A reader responded to my advertisement! Now what? This part is entirely up to you. You may reply (in which case you will be giving your email address to the reader). We encourage you to reply even if you don't like the offer, because it is all part of negotiation. While we encourage all users of our site to communicate, we do not take part in any negotiations. Can I stop my advertisement before its expiration date? Yes, you may delete your ad at any time. Visit the my ads page where for each active ad you have, you'll be presented with the option to delete it. Can I cancel my membership? We encourage you to keep your membership even if you don't think you will post advertisements soon. If you have come across a problem, we ask that you contact us first so that we may help. If you still wish to cancel, you may do so by logging in and visiting your "update account" page. There you will see the option to cancel your membership. Click it and follow the quick instructions. |
